Stickley has the worst customer service of any store I have every woked with. I received shipment of over $30,000 of furniture in November, 13 pieces, 10 of which had significant damage. The store sent out a person to paint over the damage. I told them that that was unacceptable to me. I paid for collector quality furniture and that is not what I received. After promises and promises they have done nothing AFTER 3 MONTHS. They don't return calls, I not calling them liars but they have lied to me. Every time you call you will get a new story as to why they can't help you. If you go to the store, they will say, "oh, that's terrible" and still do nothing.
Situations like this cause businesses to close. The Stickley forecast isn't looking too good.
A reputable saleperson not only would have apologized, but would have honored her mistake. My husband and I have spent $30,000 within the last eight years and yesterday will be the last time we set foot in this store.
We have purchased from Stickley for many years. At first, we weren't sure that it was worth the extra cost. But then, we realized that the furniture was still beautiful and sound after 10 years. Then, our house burned down. We needed information for our insurance company and they were right there with 10 year old records. When we settled into our new (after fire) home, we furnished our entire house with Stickley. They assisted us with professional interior decorating and recommended paint colors. They have continued to hold our hand and give us the quality furniture and customer intimacy that you just can't get anywhere else.
Imagine getting a quote for four pieces of furniture, paying, and then having a Stickley representative chase you out the door indicating that they miscalculated (not in our favor). Such is the case of Becky, a consultant, who took 50% off the showroom price instead of the retail price on a bed as part of their current sale promotion.
I my opinion they are the worst, sleazyest, used car salesmen, who are now selling furniture. In my opinion, DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE!!!.
My husband and I traveled over 50 miles each way last Monday night and was given this quote and then returned yesterday to order. So because an over-tired consultant made a mistake, and had plenty of time to realize it, we should be affected? They wouldn't honor the orginal quote and voided our transaction!
