•We closed Friday 8/19/16. Past contract and I still had to pay the $750 because my representation did nothing to protect me or enforce my stipulation. I paid over 17K in this deal. And the best part, Fraida nor Tony came to the closing, they were getting paid so why bother

Lesson learned

•no bites in a month; so based on Fraida's recommendation, I reluctantly lowered the price to what I owed on the mortgage knowing that commission/closing would be out of my pocket (May) In an email thread I voiced concern about price and commission (6%) and Fraida responded with, “If Fraida Varah Real Estate Group can find the buyer and sell your house, I am willing to reduce to 5 percent”. Still no bites so I went in to lower the price to 5K below what I owe on the mortgage thinking I can afford it due to her decreasing the commission to 5% I also discussed rental options in case there was no buyer as I was running out of time (June)

Had my circumstances been different I'm sure this wouldn't have happened. The sharks knew I couldn’t fight or walk away. I couldn’t start over. What should have been a smooth and easy sale was full of stress, regret and confusion. As a professional she should've taken care of me. Isn’t that what you pay for in a realtor; someone to trust and feel confident that they are fighting for you. She was none of this

Thank you for helping me find my first house!! Lisa was amazing and helped me stay focused through out.!!!

•Did they sell my house? Yes. The buyer came from another realtor; did Fraida have anything to do with it? My opinion, no. I’d say luck of the draw. But she'd say different

•A week passes and the commission thing is bothering me. I sent her an email asking for clarification. She calls back, sweet talks me, tells me that she meant to say that 5% was good if they actually brought the seller from an open house or from them. She should have clarified it. She would never agree to 5%

In March of 2016, I contacted Fraida Varah Real Estate Group after accepting a new job outside of New York State and having to sell my home in a rather quick fashion. My wife and I had dealt with Fraida and her team when we purchased our home 4 years earlier and had a very pleasant experience. From the very start, Fraida, in person, came and looked at our home and gave us advice on what we needed to do to sell the home as quickly as we wanted to. She walked the house with us room by room and made suggestions on what needed to be done to make the home sell faster and for the money we were looking for. She was upfront with us regarding what commissions would be, as well as what we could expect from her and her team during the process.

•Am I a satisfied customer? Absolutely not

What do I do? My fault for not getting clarification, or getting it in writing. I fault her making it seem one way. She knew what she was doing. This was the LAST time I ever heard from Fraida. (June 29)

• I had to sell or rent my current home in order to close on my new home being built. I explained my situation and need to move quickly Mar 2016

•Got an offer end of June. Go to the office to sign paperwork and Fraida is happy and saying congrats. She even hugged me. She brags about how she made this happen. Then she tells me, you understand that I can’t do the commission at 5%, it will be 6%. I didn’t know what to say or do so just responded with okay. Do I argue and ruin the sale or have her not rush this? Contract's set for Aug 1 which she said was standard (6 wks) She said that they'd try to rush this as best they could. She introduced me to Tony, her principle broker who would be handling the closing

Fraida is super friendly and knowledgeable.

Glad it is over and I never have to see or hear of Fraida and her team again

By this point, I was out of state, so Fraida, Lisa, and Tony were handling everything, and even checked in on the home for us. Initially, we had accepted an offer for $5000 less than we were looking to get, but that same day a full price offer came in. Friada herself then went back to the party that placed the initial offer and negotiated us an additional $5000 to bring us up to our asking price! Her and her team took care of the closing for us and even recommended an attorney who did a phenomenal job arranging everything for us from a far. Overall, we were very satisfied with the experience we had with Fraida Varah Reality.

Worked with the other agent to increase the purchase price of the house my wife purchased following the sale of her house, so that she could get her full commission, even though she did no work, as my wife brought the sale to her.

Not forth coming. Took advantage of my wife by charging 7 percent commissions. Did very little work. Had no idea of selling price. Let my wife sell below market with no advice.

During the sales process, Fraida and her associate, Lisa, kept an open dialogue with us and provided us with feedback after every house viewing we had. Even when I got nervous because deadlines were approaching, they were patient with me and provided suggestions. Initially, Fraida had recommended one price for the home, which I thought was low, so we priced the home $10,000 more to start. In the area we sold the home, it is a buyer’s market right now, so you have to be careful or you can price yourself out of the market quickly. After about two weeks, Fraida came to me and recommended we try her price as she felt it would make a difference. I went with her opinion, and within two weeks, we had two offers for the house. This was with only having the home on the market for less than 2 months.

In my opinion, Fraida is two-faced and all about her bottom line She speaks so highly of herself and her 30+ yr experience. And I'm sure if she replies to this review will have an excuse or explanation for everything in her favor

•The buyer had concerns from the inspection so requested an electrician walkthrough. No issues requiring immediate corrective action. The electrician quoted the buyer for $1500 She wanted that in full, I offered half $750 to move things along IF we closed on or close to contract; as time was of the essence. August 1st is approaching and my new house has been ready for over a month. I email Tony and he responds that they are working on it, waiting for the bank and title. I asked about the timing and his response was “The only person who can influence the urgency with which the lender and her attorney act is the purchaser. but that would have had to happen right from the start. As a first time homebuyer she would likely be clueless on all of this” Wow! Since when was there no urgency? Wasn't it their job to fight for me and take care of my interest from the beginning? Again, my realtor did nothing for me here. (July into Aug)
