Quiet enough park right next to a bunch of cool old historic buildings. Lots to look at while you sit in the grass and contemplate your drone-line existence.

I love this little nook in the city. Nestled in the shadows of City Hall (1880) and the NYS Capitol (1899), it is surrounded by beautiful historic buildings of some significance, including: the original Albany Academy building (1815); the home of FDR and Martin Van Buren at 4 Elk Street (1827); the NYS Court of Appeals Building (1842); and is part of the Lafayette Park Historic District.

Cool guy got a pretty crappy park named after him.

Peaceful downtown location. Lots if shade.
