It's not what it use to be. I grew up near by. They use to rent row and paddle boats to the public. They no longer do that. It was a great place to teach young children to fish. Now it's just a small lake that you can walk around. The only activity that I've seen over the past 3 years are people from the near by chip fab factory walking the trails during their lunch break. The place has lost its luster.
A convenient location but a bit noisy from traffic nearby. There are paved walking trails around a reservoir, a small playground, and grills with picnic tables.
Crystal clear water but in my experience this place is a crowded fishing area especially during bass season. If you like to fish you will have a hard time catching much. All the fishing piers are on one side of the lake so everyone is casting in roughly the same area/direction. Might be better fishing with a boat. About 2 thirds is just not fishable from shore due to a lack of trails or other property.
Usually lovely, especially under the trees, bring your own chairs, table cloths and barbeque the on site equipment is fairly derilict.
Very small park with little room to roam around, but a nice park in the middle of college campuses.
