This is the worst Social Security office I have ever been to in my life forget the fact there are 3 Windows they call up at one window and to top it off rather than call people they want to suit there and talk smh so glad I'm moving back to NYC

They had me in and out so fast I couldn't believe it! They also helped me correct errors in my file, such as an incorrect spelling of my father's name, very quickly and easily.
On feb. 16th I experienced the worst customer service I have received in my life hands down. I Came to get a new s.s. Card for my baby because we never received the first one in the mail. Went online and looked up what I needed to bring and pre-filled out form. Hospital records & both our birth certificates. The woman who I first spoke to was incredibly rude Right off the bat. But accepted what she said, left and came back with my daughters insurance card as a form of id. This means on street parking with a stroller, going through security...I just wanted to get if done. I waited again. Once helped by the second woman she said they don't accept cdphp as id because they have no issue date. Fine. I asked if I could have her dr fax over her immunization. The response was so outrageous I actually was taken back. Rudely "That's not protocol, but okay. If I can find someone to go to the fax." I then asked Where is the fax machine ? And she responded "wayyy down the hall". It was 3:30. And she didn't want to walk to the fax because they closed at 4. I then said I drove back to my house to get more documents so I could get this done...and you don't want to walk to fax? I've never been treated with such crass disrespect in my life. I then had to talk to the manager who told me they actually wouldn't take what my dr. Faxed anyway and that i had to come back a third time. He stated "we want to help you but we just can't" I wasted my entire day and I'm appalled that they would let such rude, disrespectful, unhelpful people work with the public. It is a state job. Our tax dollars are paying for someone like that to help us? I plan on going back tomorrow to write a formal complaint.
This place is run by a bunch of pathetic losers. I applied twice for disability in Cornfield County NY and was denied both times, then when i went to appeal, they wanted evidence, they got all the evidence and still nobody calls back, ive called and called but nobody ever got back because whats the point of the appeal if theres evidence now? But these bozos still keep me stuck with the appeal and no one can answer about how to stop the appeal. These low lifes just suggest an appeal so they can only keep you stuck on it with no way out and wait even longer. My only response after i was denied was "Find an easier job." Screw you pathetic Albany!!!
