Dr Lawrence is knowledgeable and up front and I like him..I myself am a retired Health Care Provider... Jody his assistant refuses to return calls.I had to wait a month for her to transfer records and it only happened when I threatened to cause a scene at his office, write a letter to the Medical Society and Contact the Attorney General. I chose not to have surgery with Dr Lawrence because I was not sure of the care I would receive Post Op given my experiences with his support staff..It is a sad situation.
The level of service Dr Lawrence's staff gives is horrible I have been chasing them down for 3 weeks. They don't return calls and when you do get them they don't do what is asked. Going on four weeks now. They have not faxed over records I need nor returned the medical disc. Now I have to pay for another copy. Jodi is the main contact and problem, try to get someone else to handle the paperwork.
First visit they were all very nice Dr. Lawrence went over every image and explained everything go back to see him October 6 to talk about neck surgery
Dr. Lawrence and his staff are amazing. Life changing results and real focus on me as a patient. No rush to operate or canned approach. Dr. Lawrence took his time to know me and to heal me. Could not be more grateful for the day I was referred to him.
He operated on my mom's back recently. I felt he was a rude bully and I believe he has lied to my mother and our family several times. The staff, including other doctors at the hospital seem scared of him even. He sent my mom home with an infection and when she was returned via ambulance he said nothing was wrong and sent her to a recovery facility where they had to drain puss from her back. When she returned once again to Albany med and Dr Lawerance's care he actually belittled her all the way into the operating room asking what she did in the hour car ride to the facility that caused the infection. According to Dr Lawerance the infectious disease specialists don't know anything when they told her she had a staff infection. The neurological team that told my mom that her headaches were caused by fluid leaking causing low fluid in her brain don't know anything and anyone who dares to disagree with him is stupid. apparently he NEVER makes mistakes. I wish my parents weren't too intimidated to sue him.
