While this Price Chopper undoubtedly has one of the largest selection of groceries of any of the P.Choppers in this area, its quality and customer service is not the best. Several items I came across in the store were expired and/or dried up (bagels). Price Chopper brand food has many gmo/artificial ingredients that should be better labeled, hence why they’re often priced lower than brand named food. Also, why does the biggest Price Chopper in Albany not have a bike stand/rack for cyclists to lock their bikes up before shopping? After looking around the entire storefront of this Price Chopper for a bike stand, I asked a Price Chopper employee if the store has a bike stand to which he scratched his head and asked me: “What’s that?” He then told me that most bikers who patronize this Price Chopper resort to locking their bikes up on the open-air shopping cart garages that you see in the parking lot. Long story short, you need a bike stand. If the City of Albany and other upstate communities are trying to move towards cleaner energy/transportation and sustainable futures, then your store should get with the times and be a part of the solution!
Out of all the price choppers in the area, it seems that this one is the largest and most well-stocked. Pretty clean in general, and staff are nice. Can't complain too much about their selection as it is pretty varied.
The store serves city folk. Ok for clean. Employees not very helpful. They seem miserable. I asked where an item coukd be licated foreign lady himmed n. Rolled her eyes. The boy pushing carts from parking lot didnt want to stop so i could have a cart. He was sloppily dressed pants hanging low tummy hanging out.
This place is huge. You have a lot of options, and there is even an international section. The employees are helpful. The prices, however, I found were not as competitive as other places like Save a Lot and Aldi. Otherwise it is a nice store.
